Timber

Wood is a natural product, which can be used in both machines and natural state. Wood is very versatile it can be used in many different ways such as pergolas, decking, fences, furniture, screens and walls.

There are two main categories suitable for use outside, hardwood and softwood, 90% of the timber used in the uk is imported, we will always try to use wood from sustainable sources.

Some types of timber are more natural durable and therefore less maintenance is required. These include hardwoods such as Teak, Iroko and Oak, these will, if left untreated will weather down to an attractive silvery colour. If left untreated these hardwoods should last up to 30 years. All softwood we use outside is pressure treated to prevent rotting. However these will still not last as long as the hardwoods.
